How Argentina FC raised £11,000 to support PADI and Create Opportunities for 242 children
At Argentina FC, we have always believed football is about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about bringing people together, creating connections, and using the strength of our community to generate real impact.
That belief is what inspired us to organise our Charity Tournament in July 2025 in London — not simply as a sporting event, but as an opportunity to create something meaningful back home in Argentina.
Today, looking back, we can proudly say that together we achieved something extraordinary.
Through the tournament, raffle tickets, donations, sponsors, and the incredible support of everyone who joined us, we raised £11,000.
But the number itself is only part of the story. What truly matters is what those funds made possible.
For the 2025 edition of our Charity Tournament, we chose to support PADI, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to detecting developmental risks and preventing learning difficulties during early childhood — one of the most important stages in a child’s life.
PADI’s work focuses on helping children build stronger foundations early on, giving them better opportunities to learn, develop, and thrive in the years ahead. Their intervention programme supports children during their early educational journey and creates lasting benefits not only for them, but also for their families and educators.
Thanks to the funds raised through our tournament, PADI is continuing its work with 242 children across three early childhood education centres in Argentina:
El Portal de Belén (Las Tunas, Tigre)
Sagrada Familia (Acassuso, San Isidro)
San Benito (Boulogne, San Isidro)
And this is where impact becomes real.
Because behind every pound raised, there are children strengthening essential life skills:
Improving language development through comprehension and oral expression
Building motor coordination and physical development
Strengthening cognitive abilities like memory, attention and problem-solving
Developing emotional regulation and self-confidence
Learning social skills that will support them throughout life
What started as a football tournament became an investment in childhood.
As a community living in London, this reminded us that distance doesn’t limit our ability to create opportunities in Argentina. Every player, every supporter, every donated ticket, every conversation and every contribution became part of something bigger than a single event.
We organised a football tournament.
But together, we created opportunities.
To everyone who participated and believed in this initiative: thank you.
This achievement belongs to all of us.
